What makes a product ready for manufacturing in Mexico?

Manufacturing readiness is more than a finished CAD file
A product is ready to move toward manufacturing when its user need, performance requirements, commercial assumptions and technical risks are clear enough to test. Geometry matters, but a beautiful CAD model is not yet a manufacturing plan.
The most useful early review connects the design to material behavior, tooling access, assembly, inspection, packaging, expected annual volume and target economics. That connection is what prevents a promising concept from becoming an expensive tool that cannot produce a viable product.
Five questions to answer before tooling
A disciplined feasibility path should expose the biggest unknowns before the project spends heavily.
- Who is the product for, and what must it do better than the current alternative?
- Which requirements are truly critical: strength, sealing, appearance, temperature, chemical resistance or flexibility?
- What annual volume and launch timing justify the proposed process and tooling level?
- Which assumptions need a prototype, material test or DFM review before production tooling?
- What target cost, project budget and funding stage define a commercially realistic path?
The first useful outcome
For an early-stage idea, the first useful outcome is not always a quote. It is a concept definition and feasibility path that identifies the next evidence needed, the likely manufacturing route and the capital decisions that can safely follow.
